Is installation difficult?   Quick installation and setup are provided through the use of the newest technology in both smoke detectors and wireless controls.  No electrical wiring is needed for installation.  The smoke detector mounts on a wall or ceiling and is powered by two CR123 batteries, with a 10-year life.  Verification that the smoke alarms have been installed properly is simple, just press the test button on each alarm.  The base-station calls the nearest Alarmcast central station to register the system and notify Alarmcast of the systems configuration and the homeowner's request to have their system monitored.  The base-station can be mounted on a wall or placed on a counter and comes with two telephone connectors.  It hooks up to an existing telephone jack like an answering machine.
